The Sacred Altar Within & Our Relationship With Mother Earth
This interview will air on June 3rd at 7 am Pacific / 10 am New York / 3 pm UK / 4 pm CET.
Nana Ix, Leslye Tánchez, is a Guatemalan woman, mother, writer, therapist, time keeper, Ajq’ij, guardian of the sacred fire and of ancestral Maya knowledge. A path she began building 20 years ago when she left Guatemala City to live in the mountains. To reconnect with her roots and deepen her study of Maya Cosmovision and ancestral knowledge, hand in hand with Quiché and Kaqchikel grandfathers and grandmothers (tatas and nanas). Reaffirming, with every step, her commitment to the service of the sacred. The birth of her children guided her training as an Ayurvedic therapist, weaving into it the knowledge of local ancestral plants. She is a Sound Therapist and Bach Flower Therapist.
Nana Ix lives in Atitlán, Guatemala, with her family, where she works with Maya
medicine and the Sacred Fire Ceremony, Xuculem. For more than 15 years she has
been learning the language of the Nawales to open their stars, Ch’umilal. She has also woven her relationship with the spirit of Cacao, sacred chant as medicine, and vibrational therapies, offering integrative and holistic guidance for healing, harmonization, and returning to balance by restoring inner order. Holding spaces for healing.
